Example 1 :

Calculate the square of 85

You need at least  20-25 seconds  with paper and pen  to solve this, True?  and your child will take even longer. Mentally  this may take even more than a minute for you and your child may not even attempt it mentally. Now learn it with "Velocity Max"

Multiply 5 by 5 and put 25 as your right part of answer.

Multiply 8 with the next higher digit  i.e. (8+1)=9 gives

72 as the left part of the answer, Answer is 7225  Easy, isn't it?

This rule holds true for calculating squares of all numbers ending with 5. TRY IT. 

Example 2

Calculate 76 X 74

Multiply 6 by 4 = 24, Right this on right side  _ _ 2 4

Now multiply 7 with next higher digit, that is  8 =  56, put this in blank fields.

The Answer is = 5624  Amazing!! 

This formula works if the first digit is same in both equations and the next two digits add  up to  10

TRY 42 X 48   or   83 X 87

Example 3

Multiply 43 X 11 = ?

Now write answer as  4 _ 3  & to fill the blank space just add 4+3 = 7

So the answer is = 4 7 3.  Can You Believe It?

Now: Can you solve the following in ten seconds?

(1)  2002/26 ?                                  (2)   1/39 ?                   (3)   17 X  24
